What is Smashing Pumpkins?
1.
A popular mainstream-alternative rock band that was around from 1988-2000. They had several #1 albums such as Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. They were one of the more popular alternative bands of the 90s. Lead singer Billy Corgan and Drummer Jimmy Chamberlin started a band called Zwan in 2000. D'arcy
Wretzky and James Iha founded Scratchy Records after the Smashing Pumpkins broke up.
Damn I wish I saw the Smashing Pumpkins before they broke up, now there will always be a hole in my heart that I can never fill.
2.
a KICK ASS band!!!....which many people hate because they are brought up on Mtv.
teenybopper 1 - I HATE smashing pumpkins
teenybopper 2 - Yea, the clothes they wear suck, since thats the only important thing in music
3.
a good, original band.
....to other gay ass losers who only limit themselves to the radio and mtv, Smashing Pumpkins are "weird".
who the hell cares if the lead guy is pratically bald?? atleast he sings about shit other than shooting people and having sex like 50 cent...or molest 14 year old girls like R.Kelly.
4.
A very good alt-Rock band of the late 80's and early/late 90's. Fronted by Billy Corgan who did vocals,James Iha played guitar, D'arcy Wretzky played bass, and Jimmy Chamberlin played drums. It has been a rumor that ever since the group started the band has had tension between them, musically or personally, nobody really knows. And how they lasted for as long as they had is unknown as well. But they are a band that had left an influence on Rock. they touched upon arena Rock that had never been fully touched upon in the 70's. Most people just like their early albums such as Gish,Siamese Dream and Mellon-Collie and the Infinite Saddness. I love these albums but I think their later efforts such as Adore and Machina are very good and complex albums even though they didnt stay true to their original sound. It just proves that the Smashing Pumpkins are a very talented band and can manipulate any genre of rock music. Billy Corgan has one of the most unique voices in Rock and his influence in the smashing pumpkins will be missed.
Also, BILLY CORGAN KILLER ILL KILL YOU DONT DISS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BANDS.

5.
One of my (and plenty of other people's) favourite band. Their music is embracing and can be light and soft like "Soothe" from the album "Pisces Iscariot" or dark and heavy like "Zero" from the album "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness", and anywhere in between.
A popular (because of mainstream) alt rock band made up of
1. Gish
2. Siamese Dream
3. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
4. Pisces Iscariot
5. Adore
6. Machina: Machines of God

One of the some bands who were ahead of their time in music evolution in the laste 80's and throughout the 90's. It consists of lead singer-Billy Corgan, bassist-D'arcy Gretzky, guitarist-James Iha and drummer-Jimmy Chamberlain. Became a band in 1988, broke up and went in different directions at about 2000. Billy Corgan, now lead of "Zwan", and others paths not clearly known. The future: unknown...
Music Revolutionists: The Smashing Pumpkins
7.
An alternative rock band lead by Billy Corgan, (who's voice is very awesome and original, but disliked by many idiots )from the late 80's until their breakup in 2000.
The Jewish teen watched in amazement at the screen, feeling a rush of nostalgia as the Smashing Pumpkins DVD played in front of him.
