U.S. Army slang for gloves, scarf, things to keep you warm, e.g.

"Shut up and quit complaining about forgetting your snivel gear."

Clothing and/or accessories generally associated with cold weather wear. Usually a derrogatory term given when wear of such clothing is unwarranted.
