Somaliland ( in Eastern Africa) is the newest country in the world. Actually it was a recognized in 1960 by more than 35 countries, however, it get united to the well known Somalia. After union, Somalilander suffered of bad law, dictatorship and racism from the Somalians who ruled the union. So in 1980s Somaliland fought Somalian troops and freed their country Somaliland.

This state is not recognized due to the absence of Somalia which could not stand up after the war with Somaliland.

Somaliland is 100% Muslims, yet a free democratic nation.

a made-up country in the north of somalia that is made up of a small group of somalis in somalia that for some odd reason, wants to secede itself from the rest of the country. They only control 2 cities, but at the same time want to take the whole north of the country with them. Nobody knows why they are against their country so much, but they only seem to care about their tribe. they are also hypocrites because they claim to be against tribalism, and then at the same time have half of their congress comprised of their tribe.

somaliland is comparable to the Confederate States of America ie. they are doomed to failure. they remind me of atlantis
