What is Sophie's Law?

When you are talking to someone and listen and listen to their life, but when you try to reply about yourself they are no longer part of the conversation. They either have to leave, fall asleep, or just stop responding.

Your txting with a friend for hours hearing about their weekend, and when you respond, Sophie's law requires that you hear back three hours later saying "sorry, i fell asleep"
