What is Sortacide?

The act of killing oneself slowly over time. Small, destructive habits known to have severe repercussions later in life are usually at play. Particularly relevant in personality types lacking a sense of personal well-being.
Person 1: What?? He starting drinking again? Why the hell is he doing that?
Person 2: He could care less. He is committing sortacide.
