South African Shotgun Edit Meaning

A drinking game which involves smashing an unopened can of beer against ones forehead until the can explodes. Each person has one attempt before passing it to the next person. Whoever manages to smash the can open allocates a regular shotgun to a person of their choosing. If the can is split but does not explode it must be passed back to the previous person who must bite the can to pierce it and consume the contents. Considered a national pastime in the Goldfields of Western Australia.
