What is Spawoof?

To 'spawoof' originally referred to jumping off the right side of the Hyrule Temple Stage of Super Smash Brothers Melee (or Brawl) and recovering to the platform at the bottom. This definition has become generalized into any crazy act of recovery in a Super Smash Bros. game, for instance jumping off one side of a Final Destination-esqe stage and coming back up on the other side. Pit is the ideal character for spawoofing.
When he jumped off the side I thought he was done for, but he spawoofed and survived.
