What is Spirituality?

1. Belief in the spirit, soul, often as it relates to religious, sacred, or otherwise noncorporeal matters. A little metaphysics and philosophy are peripherally related as well, as its purpose is to give us perspective on life and what to do with it.
2. The application of any sort of philosophy, however defined, regardless of whether the person in question has any spiritual beliefs or not. This use of the word is so vague that it can be redefined to mean anything, even something that is completely materialistic.
I'm sorry, "belief in the laws of science" is not spirituality. "Realising your own inner divinity" is not spirituality. "Being nice to people" is not spirituality. If you have no spiritual beliefs, you are not spiritual, simple as that.
Of course, one shouldn't be afraid to call oneself and atheist or agnostic. It doesn't mean you are shallow, immoral, closed-minded, intellectually dishonest, or anything of that sort.

I pity the nihilists for their lack of logic and spirituality, suckers! Okay Dave, lets go to that meeting where they are going to pass around the kool-aid. What is the group called again? Heaven's Door? Heaven's Backdoor? Heaven's... something... Don't forget the black sweat suits and our purple tennis shoes. Why do they call it a "pact" Dave? And what's a cult? Ah, fuck it, it's spirituality, we don't need to question it.

1. spirituality is dark and brooding, and does not fit a stereotyp. you can be nice and spiritual or be a mean asshole. spirituality is knowing yourself and your inner definity. the christal weilding freaks and so called lambs of god are not spiritual.
there are different kinds of spirituality but most kinds centre around nature, sex and darkness. someone who is a prude is not spiritual, someone who destroys nature is not spiritual. and how old are you until you lose that fear of the dark?
spirituality can be the jazz of john coltrane or the metal of marilyn manson, the smashing pumpkins or dead can dance.
i think that both satanism and wicca are spiritual. i think you can be a atheist and be spiritual. a christian or buddist, though such religions are designed to keep you from evolving. spirituality is about being openminded and conguering your fears.
