The unsightly poof of hair on the top or back of a male's head that is usually left uncorrected after waking up. They either don't care how they look or they're just too old to give a crap.
J: C'mon, we'll be late for brunch with your parents!
K: Honey, I have gotta get rid of this splinja, it looks like I *just* woke up!
J: You'll be fine.. its Sunday, and you're going into Richmond..
