What is Spylighting?

(Verb) The act of flipping through different sports channels looking for big highlights, usually done out of boredom or because you just don't really care about any of the games. Spylighting can be very successful, however, it can backfire.

"Dude! I was spylighting last night and I saw Ed Reedget a pick six on Fox, then I turned to ESPN and saw a walk-off homer by Big Papi! It was awesome."

"Laurie broke up with me when she found out I was secretly spylighting while we 'talked about our relationship' on the phone."
