The act of being annoyingly important. Someone or something who hangs around just because no one can be without them. Basically, being important and rubbing it in peoples' faces.

The Navigator squeped with the group trying to have a quiet boat ride. Though his jokes were horrible and he was disruptive, no one could find the land if he left. Knowing this, he continued squeping.
