ssof = sad state of affairs. The state of affairs that is so sad that one finds that one cannot make oneself use the actual words. Usually used right before one exists a stupid chat room or is passing a note to someone.

"this chat room is so beatman, it is just... well... I don't know... ssof- I'm out."
