Now a surname, used to be a Scottish clan that worked as claymore-wielding mercenaries because they pretty much sucked at everything else. They tried farming, and they just weren't good at it.
So instead of reaping fields, the Stannard clan reaped tares from the living, of course, for a steep price and a fee of 50 gold per head.
