Step By Step

What is Step By Step?

1.

A 1990s ABC sitcom about a Port Washington, Wisconsin nuclear family--the Lamberts and Fosters trying to make their new family work. In the series pilot, a contractor named Frank Lambert (played by Patrcik Duffy) elopes with hairdresser Carol Foster (played by Suzanne Somers) in Jamaica and the new couple agrees to temporarily hide the secret from their unsuspecting children. The Fosters are smart, conservative and ambitious while the Lamberts are slackers, nonchalant and lack social graces. The children throughout most of the series detest each other but grow closer after Frank and Carol have a child.

Step by Step was a good family show and closely follows the Brady Bunch, due to its nuclear family theme. It was one of those several ABC sitcoms that were cancelled with no true ending.
