Although Placebo don't like to label themselves with specific roles, Steve is prodominantly the band's drummer. He is the only straight member of the gay-goth-europop rock band.
Steve had wanted to be a drummer in a band since the age of 8, being in several semi-successful bands (e.g. Breed, The Boo Radleys) prior to joining placebo officially.
