acronym for "short-term goal weight." Commonly used in pro-ana web-groups or by other people who practice anorexia or bulimia. Usually STGW's stem from various form of thinspiration, most famously Mary Kate Olsen, and, more recently, Lindsay Lohan.
If you comment on how a girl looks thin, she might reply "thanks, I just reached my stgw of 100 pounds"
