What is Stitching Lessons?

Stitching Lessons is to skip a lesson at school/college, it came from when some fool in a class forgot the word Skip (despite his Nickname being Skippy) and claimed a guy had been stitching lessons (that or I misheard it - either way it's sticking)
"Oh man, El Dickiono has been Stitching Lessons again to see that girl!"
