adjective; describes the confused, startled, surprised expression on a students' face, causing a total lapse in memory and ability to speak coherently, mostly occurring within seconds of recognizing he/she has been asked to answer a question. It is a somewhat strange phenomena in that, the just few seconds preceding the question, the student is largely audible, actively animate, and holding much of the room's attention.
