1. When playing settlers of Catan and an opponent takes the best positions available.
2. (a)When your friends are doing or say something completely expected. *Note: this is not a surprise but just sarcasm.
(b) You can also say it when you do surprise someone
ex. Friend Simon places a settlement on a brick, wood, and brick spot with high probabilities of being chosen. "Surprise of the century."
example: I find my friend playing the same video game after I get back from school, "Surprise of the century."
