What is Sveiks?

This is a Lithuanian toast, it means "to your health" and is used like Americans use "cheers" and Italians use "salud." In Latvian, it also has a traditional meaning of "to your health" or "hale and hearty", but is commonly used as a greeting of "hello".
When having a toast at a meal, you say "Sveiks!" and down the drink.
