It is home to the exclusively prestigious Newhouse School of Public Communications, the prestigious College of Visual and Performing Arts and the prestigious Maxwell School of Citizenship. Degrees from these colleges at Syracuse University as well as in the field of Architecture, Bioengineering, Religion and Information Studies will give you a guaranteed in within the professional world. Also, boasting such distinguished alumni as Ted Koppel, Taye Diggs, Vanessa Williams and Betsey Johnson, a Syracuse University degree will take you a long way. The only not so good thing within the SU, or as we call it, the ‘Cuse, community are some of the students. With one third of the population being Jewish and having a majority of them coming from Long Island and New Jersey, it comes as no surprise that this private university houses some of the richest kids around. Most of the male students tend to be quite athletic and very much so into sports, seeing as ‘Cuse is a huge sport school. The girls, on the other hand, tend to mainly hail from Long Island and wear their Uggs all year round with either their too-tight for comfort So Low pants tucked right into them, or their too loose for viewing pleasure SU sweatpants tucked in them and spilling out from the top. So, obviously it comes as no shocker that this school is filled with a great abundance of JAPs (Jewish American Princesses). Plus, the fact that a majority of SU’s students are from the Northeast region makes it quite understandable why a simple hello or a coy smile is next to impossible to receive from a known acquaintance while walking through the quad.
Random Kid: Hey Billy, look at that girl. She is driving a BMW, is wearing some of the world's top designers and has the Star of David around her neck. I wonder where she is from?
Billy: She must be from Syracuse Universtiy because she sure is a Jappy piece of trash.
