A piece of technology that fully consumes someone's attention to the exclusion of most, if not all, other matters. Usually it involves some incredibly new or much-coveted devicewith complicated instructions and/or really cool and modern features. In other words, an extremely addictiveand prohibitavely expensive little gadget. (NOTE: can be used as noun or adjective).

ADJECTIVE: I broke up with my boyfriend because he cares so much about his technocrack telephone and how it works that he never actually calls me on it.

NOUN: The latest mp3 device is such technocrack that all I want to do is download stuff to it and play it as loud as I want to for as long as I want to.
