What is Telecommando?

When one, who is supremely accustomed to having a cell phone on them every waking moment of the day, does not have their cell for whatever reason, i.e. loss, misplaced, etc.
I am rolling telecommando right now and it's frustrating, liberating and breezy, all at the same time.
