Ten Commandments Edit Meaning

Ten rules that Christians and Jews claim is the "moral foundation of our country."

In reality, only two (thou shall not kill/thou shall not steal,) are actual laws.

These laws are common sense laws found in nearly every society across the world.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

A set of 10 rules given out by Moses (AHS) that were passed down to keep people on the straight and narrow. they were:

1. You shall have no other Gods but me.

2. You shall not make for yourself any idol, nor bow down to it or worship it.

3. You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God.

4. You shall remember and keep the Sabbath day holy.

5. Respect your father and mother.

6. You must not kill.

7. You must not commit adultery.

8. You must not steal.

9. You must not give false evidence against your neighbour.

10. You must not be envious of your neighbour's goods. You shall not be envious of his house nor his wife, nor anything that belongs to your neighbour.

The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt.

The first of the firstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring unto the house of the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel.

And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

A Code of Laws created by the Lord Our God, and presented to Moses directly by God on Mount Sinai after leading the Israelites out of Egypt and from slavery. Now these ten major rules of how people are instructed to lead their lives are used by the billions of worshippers in both Christianityand Judiasm.

Unfortunately, now these ten very important laws are coming under attack for being displayed in public, as they have been for about the past two years. They are attacked by people who "believe" that these rules are unconstitutional (see separation of church and state).

It is important for us to save these Ten Commandments, as they are a major part of the moral foundation of the United States and many other countries. What's next? Are we going to arrest people for carrying the Biblearound?
