What is Text-dropping?

To look onto someone who is texting or receiving a text. Eavesdropping is to listen to a conversation. Text-dropping is the same but with a cell phone conversation.
"My friend is always watching me text, he is such a text-dropper."
"I was text-dropping on my friend's conversation on his cell phone."
