The habit of everyone in a business meeting or teleconference to thank each other individually at the end of the call/meeting. The size of the thanksplosion usually ranges from the number of meeting participants to approximately half of the number of meeting participants, squared. For example, a 6-person meeting will usually end with 6-18 "thanks guys" or "thank you"'s.

At the end of my conference call with 7 sales reps, I braced myself for the thanksplosion which was sure to have us all parroting the phrase "thanks guys" for a solid 4 minutes.
