What is The Betus?

Having a desire for a person to check something very often like the blood sugar levels of a person with diabetes. This of coarse is temporarily relieved by checking said thing like the use of insulin is.
The term was made popular by Wilfred Brimly's constant diabetes commercials and the way he pronounces diabetes as diabetus.
