What is The Creeping Crude?

A cluster of spreading, oozing, weepy sores that
migrate on skin. The sores are red with yellow
crusts. Thought to be spread by poor hygiene.
It was 1956 in Florida that I first heard this term.
She had the creeping crude on her forearms.
