Short for "the DIRTY MAN." The Dirty Man is a little brown guy from Joisy (and Scarborough, ON,) who is known by the name "Dirty Man," because the security guard at his university rez caught him watching a detective movie porn on the big screen in the common room at 4am and yelled at him and called him a "Dirty Man." The name stuck.
"Man, DM, you're so DIRTY!"
"Hey, let's go hang out with the DM this weekend. Maybe he's got weed."
