What is Timalloy?

The Timalloy was a supposed Catholic gang in an area called Caltonin the east end of Glasgow in the early 1900s. This being where the name Tim for a fan of Celticfootball club originates. Rangers fans tend to brand their rivals Celtic as 'Tims' however this isn't looked on as derogotary by fans of Celtic Football Club as they to refer to themself as 'Tims' or the 'Timalloy'.
