Tory Lies

What is Tory Lies?

1.

Untruths, mainly political. Comes from the English Conservative (Tory) party who were once led by Margaret Thatcher.

These figures are not true, they are in fact Tory lies.

2.

In fact, incorrect speech. One example of a 'tautology', such as an 'arid desert', 'reverting back' or 'stupid politician'. The opposite of a tautology is an 'oxymoron' - for examples of this please see 'New Labour's kept promises', and 'sports personality of the year'.
