What is Total Nuts?

1. When something is just so awesome or unbelievable that it cannot be expressed with just one word.
2. To express sympathy/empathy when something bad happens while using a somewhat caring/half mocking tone.
"Last night I looked out my window and saw a dog mounting a cat"
"Dude, that's just total nuts!"
"The doctor said it can't be cured without medicine and another rectal exam"
"Man, that's just total nuts ... dang."
