1. Pretending to diagnose a computer problem while actually looking the solution up on a web search engine such as Google2. Making up a solution to an computer problem to save the user embarrassment.

1. Gary wasn't sure why Allen's driver wasn't installing, so he started troubleshitting until Google provided the answer for him.

2. Joanne simply hadn't plugged in her monitor, so Bill troubleshitted a "monitor driver conflict" so she wouldn't be embarrassed.
