The period beginning in the year 2000and ending in the year 2099.

Not to be confused with the 21st century(Twenty First Century, the period between January 1st 2001 and December 31st 2100), or the Two-Thousands (or 2000sthe period which begins in the year 2000 and ends in the year 2999)

It is more than likely that humans will not have permanently colonized any of the areas outside of the Earth's atmosphere before the end of the late Twenty-Hundreds, which is a shame considering how overpopulated we will probably be by that time.
