What is Twu?
1.
aka Trinity Western University - a university in Langley, BC, best known for its liberal arts education, school of business, and faculty of religious studies. TWU offers degrees in a variety of studies.
TWU is known for having small class sizes, a lively campus life, and recently, one of the strongest athletic programs in Canada. Students are required to agree to the 'responsibilities of membership,' in which drinking, drugs, and sex outside of marriage are against the rules. This is of course controversial among students, though most don't care to fallow the rules, especially related to drinking. Some TWU professors are even vocally opposed to the R.O.M.
Contrary to popular belief, TWU is not a bible college, but is instead a university founded by Protestants under Christian principles, similar to universities such as Yale, Duke, and Boston U. TWU professors have sovereignty within their classes, and most of the political science professors lean towards socialism, though most students at TWU are conservatives through family background. Three TWU grads are currently Members of Parliament, all with the Conservative Party.
TWU students are separated from other university students by their encouragement to seek truth, rather than to become indoctrinated by government-run universities, which push the idea that there is no truth, and to say that there is truth is to be ethnocentric, insensitive to other people's belief, and above all not open to everything. Canadian public universities are no longer interested in encouraging students to seek truth, but instead tell their students that openness is the true virtue, and to stand for something is to be insensitive to others, which is wrong.
Typical Canadian University student: Hey, I'm so smart, I went to a big public university. Now I'm so smart, I've learned that the smartest people don't stand for anything, but are open to everything, and stand for nothing. I'm one of those.
TWU student: But you spent all four of years just learning what the government wanted you to learn. Now it's even worse because you think you're smart, and haven't bothered to seek any Truth in the world.
Typical University student: Whatever, man, at least my degree costed way less than yours. You religious fanatic!
