The dominant gang are the "Tyson Road Boys", a ruthless band of killers and coke-fiends. Dubbed "Vermont's Harlem" by prominent author Arthur Vandelay, Tyson Road hit the gangscene in 1999 when there were a record 5 murders in one evening. The resulting investigation showed that it was more than just simple crime, it was an extensive network of smuggling and dealing, prominently cocaine.
