What is Uniondale?

Uniondale is another one of the few "Hoods" on Long Island. It's predominatley black, and the rest of the population consist of mainly spanish. It consist of the nassau coliseum, where many rappers perform. Also the L-islanders.(Islanders). Busta Rhymes, and Leaders of the new school are also from here, as well as brooklyn. Uniondale is definatley a strong island town. You will really only find the REAL strong island towns in Nassau county.

Small city in Nassau County, Long Island. 80% black. Most people who live in this area take pride in the fact that they live in one of the largest shit holes in the northeast. Many residents believe themselves to be "hood". This is belied by the fact that the crime rate is well below the national average and the mean income is well above. The main reason for the appearance of being a "ghetto" is that residents do not take pride in themselves or their property and can only figure out how to open hair salons and jerk chicken restaurants. When residents commit crimes they are generally small misdemeanors however the offenders will generally act a fool in order to be sent to Nassau County Penitentiary, they believe this gives them a good reputation unfortunately in most cases it just means they will never make anything of themselves later in their short, poverty stricken lives.
