originated at South Padre Island, Texas by Amazin' Walter and is a part of the "Sons of the Beach" pledge (I promise to have fun!, help others have fun!, and UNLITTER!}. the goal is to make it so common that everyone simply "unlitters". Sons of the Beach have been promoting the "unlitter campaign" since 1986. unlittering is personal and ongoing. please unlitter!
