What is Utensis?
1.
The otherwise un-named item which sits on the countertop next to the stove, usually for decoration, but also to place dirty or used utensils on to keep the counter clean. Sometimes known as a "spoon holder", the utensis finds itself in close company with other ridiculously-named kitchen devices, such as the trivet and the spoonula.
Nick placed his dirty spoonula on the utensis, which sat on the counter in his kitchen next to the trivet.
