The 'vacation rush' usually inclues parents in nasty or angry moods and sometimes even includes yelling, while the kids run around trying to get their bags packed
Some other symptoms could also include lack of clothing detergant... (Thus, the rushing to the store to buy detergant)
"I was rushing to get my bags packed, something I should've done way earlier than the night before the vacation."
"I was packing my bag when I realised that my favorite outfit still needed to get washed."
"Everyone in my family but me was stuck in the vacation rush-- I was smart enough to pack three days ago."
