What is Varsity Artie?

one who lacks athletic talent but is placed on varsity due to their seniority status. although not actually having much playing time, this "varsity artie" could in fact be part of the team and claim to be part of the varsity squad.
im starting to play soccer my senior year, and im on varsity. im such a varsity artie.
