What is Vasile?

A kind of bird found in Romania, near the Brasov city, very similar to the humming bird - emits a high pitch squeel every 20 seconds, while trying to attract a mate. Very thin, usually eats like crazy trying to put some weight for the winter.
The feathers are usually a strange red - brownish color that helps it blend in with the pine cones and not get spotted.
Usually very annoying for its sound and droppings smell, it has been almost entirely killed as a species. A few are still living in the balcanic area and there is even a confirmed presence in Paris, France.
I saw a small vasile flying around the Eiffel tower.
