Exercise while being verbally abused. A very effective method of maintaining one's motivation during an exercise routine, as successful completion might make the yelling stop. Excellent reinforcement of negative stimulation. Most often practiced in the armed forces.

Sgt: "You call that running you weak nancy!"

Pvt: "But I've been running five miles, I can't..."

Sgt: "GOD DAMMIT YOU USELESS PILE OF SHIT, YOU WILL RUN FIVE MORE MILES AND YOU WILL LIKE IT!"

Pvt: " YES SIR!"
