My mother. No, she wasn't white either, plus she was all wrinkly and shit by the time I was 30. Stupid Renaissance painters, always making her look like a teenager...for My Dad's sake, she was like 48 at the time. You were lucky to live to My age in the early A.D. years. Take a look at the paintings of Caravaggio for a more accurate depiction, minus the fact that he painted us all white.
There is more about the Virgin Mary in the Qu'ran than there is in the Bible itself.
6.

Catholics call her the “mother” of God. She wasn’t really the mother of God per se, considering God (Jesus, the Son) was around at the beginning of time and had no mother. But the term is just an “earthly title” to refer to her status as the one who gave birth to Jesus in Bethlehem while she was a virgin betrothed to Joseph. It is believed that she was just a teenager at the time of Jesus’s birth. Catholics give her “Saint” status but Protestants do not. Either way, the Virgin Mary still has significant importance in Christianity because, without her virgin status, Jesus would have been a mortal man with the stain of original sin, making the attonement and salvation impossible. The virgin birth is CRUCIAL to being a Christian—not accepting Mary as a virgin means not accepting Jesus as divine!
Catholics accept Mary as being a virgin her whole life. This is erroneous and not accepted by Protestants because the Gospels teach that she had at least 2 other children: James and John, two of Jesus’s disciples. Besides, accepting Mary as a virgin forever means Jesus had no siblings (which he did) and that she would not have ever consummated her marriage to Joseph.
The Virgin Mary is highly regarded in Christianity regardless of wheather she was a Saint or not.
