The act of listening to identify the actor playing a voice-only role in an animated television series or film, video game, commercial, movie trailer, or other genre where the specific role of the actor is uncredited or unknown. This type of research is often corroborated by listening to known voice-over roles by the actor and then comparing them to the voice-over role in question. Avid
