Anything that reduces humans to vomiting as a reaction to just how God-awful or unbearable it is. The term is most prevalent in the Mass Media, but can be applied to pretty much any situation or person.
A recent example of “Vomit Worthy” in the Mass Media would be the overkill regarding Michael Jackson’s passing - although he was the undisputed King of Pop, the Media Circus that has prevailed since his passing has now become “vomit worthy”.
