What is Yarik?

To do/pull a Yarik. To state a claim as fact when obviously wrong. Or otherwise argue a defenseless point. Normally used in an intellectual debate.
"I couldn't believe he did a Yarik"
"Yeah?"
"He tried to argue that a plane would fall like a brick. Just over a longer distance."
