What is Zavarka?

russian word for tea concentrate. made by adding five times the 'usual' (as per western european and american standards) amount of tea leaves to a pot of hot water, and letting the leaves sink the to bottom. can be used immediately or kept and used later on, even cold.

used in making of russian tea by adding hot water to zavarka, usually diluting it by mixing water and zavarka 10:1.
