What is Zinho?

an ending originaly from Brazilian Portuguese added on to names to make nicknames, usually used amongst soccer players because of famous Brazilian soccer star, Ronaldinho. In Portuguese it describes something as being small, or shows a certain degree of affection towards it, similar the word "cutie."

Ronaldinho for Ronaldo (used as a nickname)

Mariazinha for Maria (nickname, note the 'a' at the end instead of 'o' for a woman/girl)

Mariozinho for Mario (nickname or if you know a person named Mario who you consider small in stature)
