The Republic of Azerbaijan is a country in the Caucasus, at the crossroads of Europe and Southwest Asia, with a coast on the Caspian Sea. It has frontiers with Russia in the north, Georgia in the northwest, and Iran in the south. Iran to the south and west, and Turkey to the northwest.
Azerbaijan is a secular state, and has been a member of the Council of Europe since 2001. A majority of the population are Shi'a Muslim and of Western Turkic descent, known as Azerbaijanis, or simply Azeris. The country is formally an emerging democracy, however with strong authoritarian rule.

It is clean, beautiful, filled with a rich history and culture, and the friendliest people you will ever meet, who treat guests before they treat themselves. Azerbaijan
A beautiful Eastern European country. It relates to areas being populated since Neanderthal man, more than 350 000 years ago. Azerbaijan has beneficial climatic conditions and fertile lands, natural resources, various flora and fauna, numerous towns. Azeri nationally formed in the middle ages as a result of merging two local tribal associations - Albanian and Athropatenian. Then these tribes adopted language of the ancient Turks. It is poly-ethnic in palette. Some of the minorities in Azerbaijan include: Udis, Kryzes, Inghiloys, Budughs, Khinalugs, Talyshes, Germans, Russians, Ukranians, Turks, Avars, Tats and Kurds, Newsassirians, Jews and Tatars. Because of this wonderful mix, Azerbaijan has some of the most beautiful women in the World.
There are such rare goods as oil, raw silk, cotton, saffron, sturgeons, caviar, non-ferrous metals, in other words everything that is high in demand in the world market. The centercity and main city is called Baku (gorgeous in summer, spring).
It's a wonderful beautiful country, with amazing sights. The people are very sweet, generous and warm. Haha, and the bribe thing is true.

A: The first most ancient Azeri government was established in the 9th century BC., called Manna. The one of the biggest empires was Safavids Azerbiajan Turkish empire, which id known in our days as Safavids Persian Empire. The empire was established In 1501 by Shah Ismayil Khatai, who also was an Azeri(Azerbaijanian)poet. Wrote hundreds of poems in Azeri-Turkish language. When the empire was established the offical languge of the empire was Azeri-Turkish. But the later Shah Abbas became the Shah(the leader of the empire)and he moved the capital and changed the language to persian. Shah Abbas was very prone to Persia, and the the leader of the empire coming after him continued his policy. But untill the governance of Shah Abbas the entire empire was ruled by turks and was a turkish empire.

A: Azerbijan was divided into 2 parts by Russia, on October 12, 1813. In February 10th, 1828 Azerbiajan was again divided into 2 parts(South and North) by Russia, between Iran and Russia. Most of its territory, South became part of Iran and North part of Russia. But now North is the independent Republic of Azerbaijan. In our days more than 30 million Azeris live in Iran.

Country is extremely rich with oil,rare trees,silk,etcuntry with where trade roads to Europe and Asia,and to all countries went through.Yet from ancient times the Great Silk Road passed through Azerbaijan and connect it with east and other parts of the world...The most delicious food ever.Best music.Lavash (smth. like Mexican tortilla) is national bread,and tea is national drink.The most hospitable people one ever know.Marco Polo and others wrote a lot of wonderful stuff about that paradise country,including the beauty of women.
I luv Azerbaijan. It is the synonym to paradise. Everybody who visits never goes back, and very pleased with hospitability, generoisity of people. And you may ask about Azeri ladies every single one who have ever been to Azerbiajan. Turkish and Azeri women are the most beautiful in the world.
